This game brought many mechanics that aren’t present in the original trading card game, and if that wasn’t enough, it also nerfed all effect monster cards to the point where all monster cards had no effects or abilities. Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories marked the first time that this trading card game appeared on a home console in America in video game form. This was also the first time it twisted its rules.
